How to Use a Hotel Phone and Call a Hotel Room Directly
When you’re traveling, it’s important to know how to use a hotel phone and how to call a hotel room directly. This can be especially tricky if you’re not used to calling internationally.
In this blog post, I will teach you how to call a hotel room directly from your phone, as well as how to use the hotel phone to make calls outside of the hotel. I’ll also provide some tips on how to reduce your international roaming charges.
Follow these simple steps and you’ll be able to make calls like a pro!
1. To call a hotel room directly from your phone, you will need to dial the country code, followed by the area code and the seven-digit hotel number. For example, if you are calling a hotel in the United States, you would dial 011 + 1 + 7-digit hotel number.
2. If you are calling from a country other than the United States, you will need to dial the exit code for your country, followed by the country code, area code, and seven-digit hotel number. For example, if you are calling from Canada, you would dial 011 + 1 + 7-digit hotel number.
3. To use the hotel phone to make calls outside of the hotel, you will need to dial 9 + 1 + area code and telephone number. For example, if you are calling a business in the United States, you would dial 9 + 1 + area code and seven-digit telephone number.
4. To reduce your international roaming charges, we recommend that you purchase a local SIM card for your phone. This will allow you to make calls at the local rate, rather than paying international roaming charges. You can purchase a local SIM card at most convenience stores or mobile phone stores.
Following these simple steps will help ensure that you know how to use a hotel phone like a pro! With these tips, you’ll be able to make calls without any trouble, wherever you are in the world.
